Flóra Kőszeghy

Flóra Kőszeghy is a distinguished architect and visual artist who graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2006. Her early career included a significant stint at Erick van Egeraat’s office, followed by roles at prominent Budapest architectural firms such as Zoboki and Demeter, Atelier Peter Kis, and Tiba Studio. At Tiba Studio, she played a crucial role in designing the joint headquarters for Budapest Telekom and T-Systems. In 2020, she established Studio Kőszeghy and is currently a doctoral candidate at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Her research delves into the digitalization at the nexus of architecture and art, and she frequently speaks at conferences on artificial intelligence. Her artistic work, which includes large-scale oil paintings, installations, models, and videos, explores theoretical issues while emphasizing the subjective and personal aspects of art. Kőszeghy’s work is regularly featured in exhibitions both in Hungary and internationally, and her professional portfolio prominently features the interplay between technology and humanity through speculative projects.

Attila Kőszeghy

Attila Kőszeghy was born in 1946 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology between 1964-1969 and from the Faculty of Architecture of the Budapest University of Technology between 1980-0982.

In 1994 he was awarded the first prize for the Residential House of the Year, in 1995 the main prize for the Residential House of the Year, and in 1999 the Pro Urbe Award of the City of Debrecen. In addition to many detached houses, he designs public buildings, block rehabilitation and urban planning projects. His work is related to organic architectural initiatives. He is intensively interested in the use of the rural, regional and urban traditions in modern architecture.

As the Director General of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Debrecen, he has overseen the transformation of the University into a University and the introduction of EU standards. He is still active as a researcher and creator, and his extraordinary expertise provides the essential background for the Studio Kőszeghy Ltd. team.
